Asia's most trusted brands revealed

Reader's Digest Asia has published its annual list of the most trusted brands on the continent.

According to jewellery entrepreneur Meer Sadik Habib, owner of Habib Holdings, someone looking to buy jewellery would only go to a trusted brand.

He said: "Trust and branding go together. Only when people have trust would the brand become important," quotes TheStar.com.

Similarly, Malayan banking firm Maybank won the award for Most Trusted Bank

Maybank's head of consumer banking Spencer Lee told TheStar.com that "branding is important and Maybank has always tried to push its name forward in the market".

According to British Businesswoman Dawn Gibbins in Real Business, branding should be the most important consideration for a new business.

One way of creating a healthy brand image is to offer high-quality corporate gifts to potential and existing clients.

High quality gifts include pens such as those made by El Casco, Lalex 1938 and Cerruti 1881.
