Branding brings business 'sizzle'

Correct branding strategies can bring a spark to a business, it has been claimed.

According to Canadian publication the Gazette, a makeover in branding is not just effective for new businesses but can also bring benefits to more established firms.

Francine Jones, marketing professor from Concordia University's John Molson School of Business, said that the branding of a company is both its personality and identity.

"It sends out a message of a company's purpose in the market," she added.

Ms Jones added that re-branding can take place either when a company feels that it is necessary for promotion purposes or alternatively when it is launching a new product line or service.

Corporate gifts blogger Gareth Parkin, writing on Business Guide, has claimed that executive gifts have turned many businesses into a "success story" through effective brand promotion activities.
