Business promotional gifts depend on"immediate impact"

Corporate promotional gifts which are produced to market a particular event need to be innovative and exciting, it has been claimed.

According to Brian Cerra of Best Promotions, business gifts such as promotional pens with a company logo are not going to generate enough excitement about a company to be successful.

He said: "You're not only selling your brand, you're also trying to stir up excitement about your event. Rather than advertising with the goal of long-term market penetration, you need to focus on immediate impact."

Business promotional gifts for a specific event need to stand out from the crowd in the advertising products marketplace, he explained.

Mr Cerra urged companies to take great care in choosing exactly which product would be best suited to spreading the word about their event.

Godby Advertising has recommended engraved gifts as ways of attracting consumer attention.

The firm has claimed that when business gifts are decorated with a certain message, "magic happens".
