Companies 'should differentiate through branding'

Firms should maximise sales by ensuring their branding makes them stand out from the crowd, a specialist has revealed.

Writing for RISmedia, Jeff Lincoln commented that business owners should inject some of their own personality into their brands, ensuring they make a memorable image for their firm.

To do this, businesses should develop a formal branding plan which includes strategies regarding colours, images and logos.

Branding plans can then be used across the whole company - whether on corporate gifts or in marketing materials - and should be stuck to in order to ensure maximum impact and brand recognition, the author said.

He advised business owners to make the most of advertising and invest in ways to promote their firm through branding.

Gareth Parkin, writing on Every Thing For All, has claimed corporate gifts are widely recognised as an effective marketing tool which can be used in external events or given to staff as incentives.
