Corporate gifts 'don't always need to be flashy'

Executive business gifts can be a tricky business if a company is small and does not have a large budget, it has been claimed.

A Sydney Morning Herald blog stated that extravagant corporate gifts such as premier seats to a sporting event or cases of champagne are not always the way to win over new or prospective clients.

The blogger explained that getting to know the customer or client in question will go a long way in choosing business gifts, claiming that personalised products such as picture frames or engraved gifts will be valued and appreciated.

"You don't have to spend big bucks if you take the time to figure out something your client will truly appreciate," the source stated. "Some customers choose to work with small businesses … because of the personal service."

Often companies will have a policy on accepting corporate gifts and it is always vital to find out before selecting any present whether the recipient is legally allowed to accept it.ADNFCR-1457-ID-18485205-ADNFCR
