Corporate gifts prized at festival

A festival in South Africa is giving corporate gifts to visitors.

The event is to be held at the Nederburg wine estate north-east of Cape Town and will give visitors the chance to try the traditional foods of ancient Iran some 7,000 years ago.

As well as receiving executive gifts and a wine glass in their goodie bag, attendees on August 16th will also be able to watch demonstrations of the arts and crafts of the ancient region.

In addition, the estate will host a Persian parade, belly dancers and live music.

Sandra Lotz, chief executive officer of the firm running the event Paarl Vintners, explained: "We annually celebrate the Shiraz cultivar because of the special affinity Shiraz vines have for the Paarl terroir, thus gracing wine drinkers with world class wines."

Wine festivals are often held around the world, for example the Johnstown Film and Wine festival took place in Pennsylvania last week and the Queensland Spring Wine festival was celebrated earlier in the year.
