Custom business gifts firm 'finally seeing success'

A Sri Lankan porcelain manufacturer has reported that after two unprofitable years, business is looking up.

The Sri Lankan Sunday Times reports that Dankotuwa Porcelain expects to see a profit during the last quarter of 2007, compared with the corresponding period the previous year.

Chairman and managing director of the firm Sunil G Wijesinha explained that the b2b market is the driving force behind the turnaround.

"We do quite a lot of special orders for hotels, embassies, corporate gifts etc and this seems to be a growing market because more and more people want customised products with their own design or logo," he said.

Porcelain business logo gifts would make a stylish and unique corporate recognition gift.

The Register-Guard has advised that employees should be recognised with business gifts that come in the form of a product or specially held event rather than financial incentives.

It warned that workers may spend the money on food or other items straight away and then will have nothing to show for their efforts.
