Effective branding 'attracts franchisees'

A recent survey of franchisees has found that 19 per cent of them chose the company to work for because of the power of its brand, a magazine reports.

Franchise magazine said that the power of working for "a well known brand" was attractive to those who are considering which franchise to choose.

Speaking to the publication, Chirag Patel said that he and his business partner Simon Wayne chose to open an O2 franchise because the company had the power to launch nationwide marketing campaigns.

He told Franchise magazine: "We understood the power of branding. By investing in O2 we could guarantee customers from the first day of trading because the name is well known and has positive associations."

One way of promoting a brand is to use corporate gifts to spread the word about a certain company.

Earlier this month a business forum held by the Castle Morpeth Business Forum discussed the various benefits of using corporate gifts to promote a firm.
