Employers 'need joined-up branding'

Companies need to make sure they have good relations with their employees and an effective branding system to make different departments work well with each other, it has been reported.

Austrian publication Die Presse has said that a positive employee culture needs to be built up in order to ensure the company operates smoothly within itself.

One way to do this is to create a strong employee-employer branding which will improve relations with management and therefore between different members of staff, the author of the report Karin Kroll has said.

Another way to improve motivation among staff is to create a corporate gifts rewards programme, it has been claimed.

Statistics from the Incentive Federation show that in 2003 81 per cent of US executives carried out incentive programmes giving away items such as corporate gifts.

Some 78 per cent of respondents to the survey said executive gifts were remembered longer than cash payments.
