Engraved awards for executive

An executive based in the American state of Ohio has scooped engraved awards for his efforts to help his local community, it has been revealed.

Ed Romito, chief information officer at the not-for-profit Genesis Healthcare System, was among those recognised at a recent ceremony designed to reward people who have made a real contribution to the local community.

Mr Romito said he was very excited at receiving the engraved plaques and he paid tribute to the work his colleagues have done in making sure the United Way initiative was able to gain traction in the counties of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan.

The United Way charity aims to encourage communities to work together to improve local communities and after picking up the Director Award recently, Mr Romito suggested the programme is set to gather pace.

He told the Zanesville Times Recorder: "The United Way is alive and well."

A recent blog entry 21976 suggested that the presentation of a brand on corporate gifts can have an impact on how the relevant company is perceived.
