Engraved plaque for top officer
Engraved gifts make great employee recognition products, it has been claimed.
Local Maine paper the Morning Sentinel reported that a Farmington police officer has been recognised as the department's top officer of the year.
Corporate recognition gifts for Lieutenant Jack Peck included an engraved glass plaque, given to the officer at a surprise ceremony.
The title goes to any employee "who stands well above other employees in the performance of their job and who contributes immensely to the mission of the Farmington Police Department", explained Chief Richard Caton 111.
In the UK, winners of the Cumbria Tourism Awards will be presented with engraved gifts to mark their achievements of high working standards in attracting over 15 million visitors to the county every year.
Teams and individuals will be recognised for their efforts with engraved awards and a cheque for £200, reports the North West Evening Mail.
