Enrolment open for first promotional merchandise qualification

The first qualification for the promotional merchandise industry is looking for students.

The British Promotional Marketing Association (BPMA) has launched the BPMA Academy which will offer the BPMA Academy Certificate.

According to the association, the certificate will appeal to both those who are established in the corporate gifts industry and people hoping to go into a career in promotional merchandise.

Director general of the BPMA Gordon Glenister said that the qualification has been "long needed" and will help "inject best practice and key skills among the new entrants to our vibrant industry but will also help fine tune our more experienced people".

Corporate gifts are available as a form of direct marketing to potential and existing clients.

Products on offer include pewter tankards, men's accessories and business logo gifts.
