Executive gifts 'hold a special place'

Small businesses should treasure corporate gifts such as pewter tankards and men's accessories as an effective and affordable way to market brands, it has been claimed.

According to the Boulder County Business Report, executive gifts are "special" due to their ability to act as an effective sensory medium.

Such corporate gifts can be touched, held and displayed, something which makes them stand out from email and web campaigns, the news provider stated.

The Boulder County also praised corporate gifts for their flexibility, saying the ability to order few or many at one time make them a flexible choice for firms of any size.

Figures reported in the publication included the idea that customers tend to keep such products for a long period, with half of those surveyed keeping corporate gifts for a year or more.

And 76 per cent of people were able to recall the name of a company which had given them a corporate gift in the last year, the publication said.

Pewter tankards have been deemed to be special prizes by the army which has given the corporate gifts to trainees who have excelled during their course.
