'Mediocre' corporate gifts 'over and done with'

"Mediocre and indifferent" corporate gifts and executive gifts are "over and done with", according to the responsibilitycurve.com.

Writing on the website, a blogger said that modern corporate gifts are unlikely to be consigned to the wastepaper basket, as happened to many of their predecessors.

According to the marketing executive, the proof of successful corporate gifts is whether or not they are put on the table as desk accessories or consigned to a drawer.

The blogger commented: "If a gift is unique enough to be given its very own place on a desk, it's guaranteed to draw folks in for conversation."

Successful, attention-grabbing corporate gifts are "marketing executive's rare diamond", the blogger commented on the responsibilitycurve.com.

Gareth Parkin, writing on articlesbase.com, said that media advertising is "impersonal", while business gifts can be used to foster good relationships with clients and potential customers.
