Men say 'I do' to accessories
Women are increasingly buying men's accessories as a form of engagement present, it has emerged.
Research by the National Wedding Show has found that ten per cent of wedding proposals are being made by women these days, a step traditionally taken by men.
Alexandra Campos of the show stated that every proposal can be unique and individual and that it is "great" that women are no longer waiting around for men to do the asking.
She said that often men's accessories such as cufflinks or engraved gifts along the lines of watches or the traditional rings can be great ways of popping the question.
Reported in the Edinburgh News, Kate Reardon, author of Top Tips For Girls, stated: "A woman bought her future husband a vintage Rolex and had it engraved 'Will you marry me?' on the back. He was so delighted with the watch that he said yes."
