Picture frames 'good retirement gift'

Picture frames are an excellent retirement present for a long-standing employee, it has been claimed.

Mike Green, former director of the Northern Virginia chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (Madd), told the Arlington Connection that his wife has drawn up a list of things for them to do together now he has retired.

Corporate recognition gifts from Madd included a digital photo frame which contains a number of pictures taken during his time with the organisation.

"To me, it was a much better gift than a watch as it will be a constantly changing reminder of the wonderful experience that being the executive director afforded me," he said.

On the opposite end of the corporate recognition gifts scale, the Financial Times reports that upon his retirement from Formula One, Michael Schumacher was given his race car by Ferrari.

He was also given an island in the Gulf by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai.ADNFCR-1457-ID-18476065-ADNFCR
