Police logo competition open

A competition to design a logo for Dyfed Powys Police force's open day is open for people aged between 11 and 24, reports a newspaper.

The logo will be reproduced in a number of formats, including on corporate gifts.

Open day celebrations will take place on September 28th in the police station at Llangunnor and is part of the force's 40th birthday celebrations, reports the Western Telegraph.

The police are telling entrants that the day is aimed at families and therefore the logo should be able to appeal to children.

It can be made up of a maximum of three colours and must be submitted on an A4 piece of paper with the entrants' details on the back.

The winner in each category will receive an iPod shuffle and one of the logos will be used to promote the day.

Logos can be reproduced on a number of items as well as corporate gifts, including bar accessories and executive gifts.

Don Schultz, a marketing expert, has said an appropriate brand for a company can add artificial value to a product, making it more appealing to consumers.
