Promotional gifts help business flourish

Promotional gifts are a sign that a business wants to raise its profile and "arouse" interest about its products or services, it has been claimed.

Gifts are one of the easiest ways to target customers and "woo them" towards a company's brand, according to an article on Ideamarketers.com.

Gifting clients with promotional products and executive gifts not only improves business relationships but actively fosters a positive attitude about the company.

Furthermore, the "psychological association" of the gift is worth thousands of advertisements and recipients will be motivated to think of the company in the future.

"Most corporates opt to attract their customers with gifts that are trendy, creative and unique," states gift provider Philip Metcalf.

"This is a golden opportunity to the company to popularise its brand without annoying the customers."

According to the Advertising Specialty Institute, sales of promotional products and executive gifts in the US totalled $18.6 billion dollars (£9 billion) in 2006, up from $17.8 billion in 2005.
