Promotional products 'extremely effective'
Giving promotional products to prospective customers in the real estate industry is "effective" or "extremely effective", according to more than seven in ten American estate agents.
The Promotional Products Association Internal (PPAI) questioned more than 700 estate agents at the 2007 National Association of Realtors Expo and found that nearly 95 per cent of those surveyed include promotional products in their budgets.
Estate agents questioned listed five main reasons for using promotional products, according to the PPAI, including increasing name recognition, generating new custom and goodwill.
They also believed that corporate gifts and branded merchandise could be used to get referrals and increase sales.
Chairman of the board of the PPAI Stan Breckenridge said that the "high touch" element of promotional gift-giving means that "it is possible to reach each customer on an individual basis".
Corporate gifts expert Matthew Pressman believes that distributing corporate logo gifts can "link the gifts effectively with your companys brand, helping to leave a lasting impression in the minds of your consumers".
