Shabby corporate gifts 'can harm your brand'

Using poor-quality corporate gifts can have a detrimental effect on your brand, according to gift expert Cheow Yu Yuan.

Tacky gifts or an inappropriate or old-fashioned logo can reflect badly on your firm's brand and therefore affect your business performance, Mr Yu Yuan writes in a piece on ezinearticles.com.

Recipients of shabby corporate logo gifts "may feel that your company lacks professionalism which will greatly tarnish the reputation and image of your business", he added, saying for that reason it is important to turn to a recognised supplier.

Fellow gifts expert Michael Pressman says in an article on knowhow-now.com that distributing high-quality corporate logo gifts can "link the gifts effectively with your company’s brand, helping to leave a lasting impression in the minds of your consumers".

Examples of high-quality gifts can be items such as pewter tankards, silver gifts, picture frames or bar accessories.
