Silver gifts for expectant mothers

Baby showers are becoming increasingly extravagant and expensive, reports the Observer.

It claims that there is an emerging trend of expectant parents drawing up a gift list for the party.

Samina Kamal from Harrods told the newspaper that new mothers are increasingly drawing up more extravagant gift lists such as crystal inlaid picture frames and expensive prams.

A spokesperson for Tiffany gave a similar story, explaining that baby shower presents now include silver gifts such as jewellery for mothers and engraved gifts such as key rings for fathers.

"I see it as more of an aid for guests," a 32-year old expectant mother said. "What's worse than to go to all the effort of buying a gift only to find it's neither wanted nor needed?"

Rose City Chocolatier recently announced a new range of personalised packaging designed for corporate business gifts giving.

The firm also stated that the custom packaging is ideal for baby showers.
