Specially engraved iPod for Beckham

Football player David Beckham has received an engraved iPod touch to celebrate his 100th cap for England.

The iPod is gold and can carry 32 gigabytes of data.

It was bought for Beckham by his team-mates and has a three-lions England shield and "David Beckham For his 100th England Cap" engraved on it.

The normal versions of the iPod touch cost £329 but this customised model came to £600.

Beckham first played for England's national football team in 1996 and has played for England for most of the intervening period, being seen as the hero of English football for his performances for the team.

He missed a previous England match against Switzerland because new England coach Fabio Capello claimed he was not fit, having played few matches with his club team, LA Galaxy.

Beckham has earned millions of pounds through his football and lucrative sponsorship schemes, including deals with businesses such as Vodafone and Gillette.
