'Take lifestyle choices into consideration' with corporate gifts

Businesses should think carefully about their clients' lifestyles when selecting corporate promotional gifts, it has been claimed.

The suggestion was made by Whitney Ellison, a customer of US-based company Kosher Gift Box, who explained that careful selection of business gifts can be an effective way of building relationships with customers.

Opting for custom business gifts that reflect clients' interests or values demonstrates that some thought has gone into the choice, the investment firm director continued.

"When you a send a kosher gift to someone who keeps kosher, it shows that you are taking their preferences and lifestyle into consideration," added Ms Ellison.

A recent article in Ohio-based newspaper the Beacon Journal suggested religious festivals are often the best time for a company to show it appreciates its customers by distributing high-quality business promotional gifts.

However, it added that items such as personal care products, meat and alcohol should be avoided as they may conflict with a customer's beliefs.
