Wrapping for corporate gifts 'should be professional'

The type of wrapping used for executive gifts should be appropriate for a professional environment, it has been claimed.

Gareth Parkin, writing on the TV shows blog, said that packaging does not have to be elaborate, suggesting that tissue paper, cellophane or ribbon are all appropriate.

However, for employee gifts then wrapping paper is often a good option, as are gift baskets, the article explained.

For gifts sent by post, the best approach to take is to choose attractive packaging which will stand out from junk mail, bills and every-day post, the expert said.

Mr Parkin says: "No matter what business gifts you give, and when you give them, always remember that, just as 'clothes maketh the man', the 'packaging maketh the gift'!"

A memorable method of delivery will make corporate gifts stand out in the minds of recipients, he added.
